Laine Halpern Zisman, PhD is a fertility support practitioner, family building educator, and full spectrum doula. She provides fertility service navigation, counselling, and support to individuals and families at all stages of their family building journey.

She is a postdoctoral fellow at the School of Public Health and Social Policy at the University of Victoria, researching reproductive access and equity. She has published two collected volumes, Women and Popular Culture in Canada (2020) and the second edition of Queerly Canadian, co-edited with Professor Scott Rayter (2023). Her third book Conceivable: A Guide to Making 2SLGBTQ+ Family will be published by Fernwood Publishing in fall 2024.
